Default St. Charles Vintage Home Pictures--Help!

Hello,

My husband and I just put an offer on an old farmhouse from 1903, in St. Charles. I am trying to figure out where I might find pictures of the house as it was originially...I think it would make a lovely addition to the decor inside our new home!

Anyone with web links or ideas of where I might be able to find old home archived photos would be much appreciated. Thank you!!

try the st. charles historical society. I believe they are located right downtown on main street along the river..in the tall white building. If not there, they may have relocated a little east on main, across from the baker memorial church. It has been awhile since I was downtown.

I agree, try the historical society. Also, the city's building department may have documents/picutres on microfilm. I had an 1887 Victorian home and found all kinds of information at my local building dept. I had to sit at one of the viewing machines for hours looking at old microfilm but it was very informative. Also, you may try the library. Some libraries carry information about local parcels of land.
