I am looking at the Berkshires of Hoffman Estates? Anyone ever heard of it?

Thanks.

I have a headache from searching. Seems like all the complexes I have searched have had good and bad things to say.

This one has good reviews, but seems a bit pricey:

Lincoln Meadows Apartment Hms Ratings, Reviews, Map, Rents, and other Schaumburg apartments for rent from ApartmentRatings.com

I think you can tell a lot just by visiting a place. Seeing the condition of the actual apartment and grounds and how well the staff treated me always helped a ton in my apartment hunting. You can only tell so much from online reviews and photos.

Good luck!

Generally the only people who post on apartment websites are those who either love a place, or hate it.

Hi Chitown, I am really stressed out over this. The ones that are in our price range don't accept large dogs. As it is, we have to part with one dog. I can't part with both. So we have to give and take a little. The ones that are closer to the city are way over our budget.

Charlotte, thanks for the link. That place is beautiful but way too much money. We have to keep our rent under $1,000.

You might want to try some of the townhomes in Schaumburg. Some of the smaller ones can be rented for under $1000 if you get lucky and there isn't a dog restriction. I can't think of any off of the top of my head, but they are all around Schaumburg.

I'm new to the boards...we are actually going to visit that apartment complex soon.
In the same boat of trying to find a good aparment in the NW Suburbs--all the reviews seem pretty crappy though . We have 10 places to visit, hopefully we find something.

Good luck to you!
