I have scrolled through all the past posts and don't think I saw a single one on Wood Dale. Does anyone know anything about it?

I grew up in Wood Dale. It is a smaller suburb, around 13,500 in population. There really isn't a "city center" or downtown area in Wood Dale, so you don't get that small town feel. The grade school and junior high is good, but you have to go to the high school in Bensenville (Fenton High) which is not very desireable. The town is pretty quiet, with only a few bars and restaurants and a Target.

South of Irving Pk. Rd. is more upscale and a lot of older homes are being torn down in favor of mc mansions such as the ones off of sunnyside rd.

What do you want to know in specific? I'm sure I can answer in more detail.

I worked in Wood Dale and it always seemed safe. The library is smaller than I would like. There is a treacherous railroad crossing at Irving Park and Wood Dale Rd. There is a long term study under way to bridge the tracks years from now. Finally, it is spelled Wood Dale, NOT "Woodale."

Wood Dale is okay. I am not really a fan of it because there is not really a lot there. Very few restaurants and amenities compared to what I am used to. The positives are it is easy to get to a lot of things in the western and NW suburbs and some parts of it have a wooded feeling with natural areas.
