Default Help to solve my Evanston mystery???

I know this is a long shot, but here goes.

Sometime in the late 50's,(1955-1959) I met a girl from Evanston, Illinois. She and her mother were renting a summer cottage on Crystal Lake near Plymouth, Wisconsin. The cottage was called Crow's Nest. My family was renting a cottage just below on the lake. We shared the beach. During this short time we became friends.

Later the same summer, she and her mother invited me to come to Evanston for a weekend. This is all over 50 years ago so my memory isn't great but I think I took the train from Sheboygan, Wisconsin to Evanston. They lived in an apartment building made from dark reddish blocks. It had a very art-decco front entrance. I think there were two buildings side by side.

We had a wonderful time. I was introduced to English Muffins for the first time in my life. We went to a youth center that had a pool downstairs and a teen club upstairs.

Sadly, after writing to each other for a few months, we lost track of each other. I think her name was Nancy, but I don't remember her last name. My first name is Connie.

If any of this rings a bell with anyone on City-Data in Evanston, please let me know.
