We just drove around Huntley on our way to Woodstock>It used to be all farms, now its all subdivisions and strip malls. Lots of traffic, and no,absolutely NO character that I could see.HOWEVER,there is so much new building going on,,that alot of folks must like the area .If someone knows nice,or charming areas of Huntley that we missed, please let us know.

I too remember Huntly from the day. Another classic case of rich, fertile farmland being destroyed forever so that people can have -- nudge nudge wink wink -- big yards. The pollution from all those SUVs stuck in traffic also isn't helping things. Elgin is a lot closer to Chicago and has more things to do, IMHO.
