I don't have a problem with posts that contain information.
I just thought the final post was piling on unnecessarily.

It was merly meant to poke a little humor into this ever so depressing forum of Robbins. Besides, for those of us that have to drive through there on a day to day basis, I think we can all picture this scene. The scene of Harold with his crumpled up Trib in one hand and some sort or spraying squeegee in the other. I was told that is what his name is.. Harold. He's a heck of a nice guy, and hard worker, just needs to get a real job at a real carwash already. Not to mention the other dude in Chicago off the off ramp for outbound I-55 at Cicero Ave. Somebody hire these two already! hehe

Default To The ILL.

I've been reading you comments, I think everyone that has posted something negative about Robbins need to go out their, and be the so-called man and woman they are and say those things,to the residents. I guarantee you none of you will. If you don't have anything good to say, don't say nothing at all. I'm a single Father,(of 4 boys) a College Graduate and a concerned citizen of Robbins. And I don't appreciate none of you (haters) knocking our community. So, I'm asking you guys to STOP!!! I work in the Criminal Justice field and I can tell you this, The town has been sabatoged for far to long, and now is the time when the residents of Robbins will put a Stop to all this nonsense. "and you can take that to the BANK!!!"

I'd be willing to bet almost anything that the shooter in the Tinley murders is not from Tinley Park. Being a police officer, you should know that. It's more likely the person is from a different suburb - maybe even Robbins - based on the description.

And I'd also be willing to bet the people robbing the Tinley gas stations aren't from Tinley either.
OBVIOUSLY THEY AREN'T. IT COULD BE EASILY ASSUMED THAT THEY ARE FROM AREAS OF POVERTY. I'M JUST SAYING THAT IT IS NOT AS BAD OF AN AREA AS EVERYONE THINKS IT IS. YOU AREN'T GOING TO GET ROBBED DRIVING DOWN PULASKI OR KEDZIE OR 135TH ST OR 139TH ST. THERE ARE STILL BUSINESSES IN ROBBINS OWNED BY WHITE PEOPLE AND SEVERAL PEOPLE DRIVE THROUGH ROBBINS EVERYDAY TO GO TO WORK. SURE THERE ARE BAD AREAS THAT I WOULD ADVISE PEOPLE NOT TO GO BY, BUT ITS NOT AS BAD AS EVERYONE STEREOTYPES IT TO BE.

Realtors violate federal law and risk lossing their license, huge fines and even prison if they respond to these types of questions, in the way that so many do.[/quote]

I do not think anyone is paying any attention what Realtors are doing .
Look at the mess the economy is in and hosing foreclosure's-No one is loosing their licence over that. No one is paying any attention to REAL CRIMINALS with Real estate licenses.
No one paid any attention to the Gangs flipping houses .Do you think some one is paying attention to this board,We need people to point out some of the housing problems, gangs ,drugs SO SOMEONE MIGHT WANT TO FIX THIS TRAGEDY IN A COUNTRY SO WEALTHY>

Actually, I think if you ask most criminals, they would tell you the reason these areas are chosen is because security is usually very lax. Criminals also realize they are not likely to be challenged in certain areas. Even the "wanna be's" go after these places, because they figure its going to be a very easy score.

Thieves aren't ranked very high on the "tough-o-meter". They usually want nice easy targets. Unfortunately, most middle-class suburban areas fit that descreption.

I disagree about Alsip. Most of the town's residential areas are pretty far from Robbins, and whether you like Alsip or not, I don't think most people associate it with Robbins at all. Midlothian I don't know as well, but I have read more lukewarm-to-positive posts on it (and Crestwood), than I have bad.
