I just moved to town. Do any body know any thing about Sarah Palin speaking May 12th at the Rosemont Theatre Rosemont, IL?

GT28107 - based on your brilliant comment, I must assume you are all knowing, have researched everything and have formulated correct theories as to how all should be in the world.

Oh wait - my guess is you were told how to think by some Union or Democrat hack.

Having listened to Sarah Palin speak, I too wonder why one would want to (her speech at the RNC, when I was willing to giver a chance, turned me off for good). Even though I am not conservative, I am willing to concede that there are many more articulate and intelligent conservative speakers and writers I'd go to if I were, and wanted to (e.g. Andrew Sullivan, George Will). That being said, even if she sells out (in the ticket sense, not the political sense ; ) ), stubhub.com will probably be able to get you a ticket, for a price of course.

J33,

How would someone who is self-professed not conservative ever be able to give Palin a chance?

Btw, I am fairly conservative and think that Palin is an idiot that we waste time and money on (she has 1MM/yr contract with Fox News).

I think almost any reasonably intelligent person who has a life away from the living room TV will tell you that Sarah Palin is a thoughtless narcissist, and if the world were as full of oil as she is of party-programmed BS, gas would be free.

I too, was willing to give her a chance when she spoke at the convention. I didn't know anything about her and had no preconceived ideas. I was not impressed and the more I heard her speak, the less I thought of her. If McCain wanted to choose a female running mate in an attempt to counter Obama being the 1st African American presidential candidate, there are Republican women who would have been much better options such as Olympia Snowe or Kay Bailey Hutchinson. I really believe that a major factor in choosing her over the other two are her looks.

Exactly. It's not a partisan issue. It's just common sense.
