Default Clarendon Hills - Any Thoughts?

Relocating this summer from New England .. Realtor we are working with is pushing towards Clarendon Hills .. I've seen Clarendon mentioned in a few threads but no real details ..Anybody have any thoughts on schools, quality of life, downtown area. ??

We are also considering Wheaton, Glen Ellyn and Naperville.

thank you

Its a nice suburb with good schools but, certainly not better then Naperville,Wheaton and Glen Ellyn, which are great suburbs with wonderful "towns",family activities,Park districts, and very good schools. They are also on the Metra for an easy commute downtown Chicago. You have to visit each one to see what feels like home for you,as they are all good places to live and all have good schools.Good luck to you with your move and welcome to Illinois

Clarendon Hills is basically an extension of Hinsdale. It shares the same excellent schools and looks the same. Personally I don't like Clarendon's downtown area because the streets are really confusing, and there aren't many restaurants. Hinsdale has a great downtown. But Clarendon Hills does have a Metra stop, and Hinsdale has three. Like nanannie said, you have to visit each town and see which you like best, because they all have a different feel.
