"CHICAGO — A Chicago minister and commissioner on the city's Zoning Board of Appeals says he's running for mayor.

The Rev. Wilfredo De Jesus is a lifelong Chicagoan and the senior pastor at the New Life Covenant Church in the Humboldt Park neighborhood.

De Jesus is an advocate of Immigration reform. A news release announcing his candidacy says he was named the vice president of social justice for the National Hispanic Leadership Conference, which serves 18,000 churches across the United States. "

Bad news for Del Valle.

This is good:

Hell, I might as well run for mayor. I've got about as much name recognition as some of these people.

Add an s to your handle and make "The" your first name and you could probably get a good chunk of the northside Irish vote.

Sure, they were really good & kind of "hometown heroes." I had a bass originally owned by their bass player (name escapes me), stolen in a burglary from a pal's place in maybe 1994.

Rahm Emmanuel just won the election...

Clout St: Quinn getting White House help with three weeks to go in governor's race

If Obama will endorse Quinn, he'll endorse Rahm. The Obama endorsement wins him the black vote, per the Chicago Reader. He's already got the machine vote and the rich, white northside vote. This gives him a majority of the vote.
