whats up there in that part of rogers park? the apartments i see listed look huge and beautiful, but they also seem too affordable for their not to be a catch. i don't know this section fo the city at all so I was just wondering. (actually looks like its the 7400 block condos Im looking at. my bad.)

okay. interesting and crappy can mean a lot of things. anybody want to give some details? whats the demographics, ethnicity, poor, middle class or rich? changing (either good or gad) or stable? actively involved community in this section of RP, yuppified, what? ive seen some of the past threads on rogers park but they're old and im looking for something on the ground and new intelligence. its a long way from the south side that i know.

Not much has changed in Rogers Park since the various threads about it were started here.

do you have a particular need to be there???

yes it is a gang area...

I certainly wouldn't actively choose to live there unless you work on that street or something...

If you must live in Rogers Park there are certainly better areas.

yes, the area near the lakefront and loyola seems calmer and i'm a bit more familiar with it personally. more expensive, but also closer to the trains downtown. if the gangasta thing is still real up there i want no part of it
