Yes, kind of early to post this but...

we are coming up from Texas to visit relatives. We're staying in a hotel on North State Street.

Are there street closures during the parade on Thanksgiving Day, which streets?

Where is a good place for the kids to sit for the parade, are there seats that are sold for tickets?

Thanks.

Yes, this is one of the few parades that still route down State Street ( versus Balbo/Columbus - Grant Park) .. This means a 'narrower' viewing area ( sidewalks that back right up to storefronts) ... bundle the kids up and find someplace between Randolph and Congress on State Street to stand and watch .. I think the only 'sitting' might be on your shoulders for the little ones ..

Oh, but but kids are all over age ten, I don't think they're going to sit on my shoulders...

Anyone able to recommend a good viewing spot? Do streets close for the parade and when do the streets reopen after the parade is over?
