Let me also say that I'm willing to drive 1 hour each way, if that changes anything in terms of distance from the city. Thanks again.

I shop at the North Ave Walmart and it's not dangerous. Anyone who can't stand working there or the climate is a wus. I lived in Wicker Park since it was a latino gang infested area in the 70's and 80's. Now it yuppie white but the white people are so conceited.

I was disappointed when I realized this was yet another Deechee impersonater and not a new post from the real Deechee - who hasn't posted anything in some time.

Egads! The cross dressing filipino is a racist! Now I expect a bombardment of posts calling him out! ( I will not hold my breath. )

Please tell me that you are a manager or something. I know times are hard but if you are a regular sales associate you should live near the Walmart you're looking to work for- otherwise it wouldn't be worth the ride.

You can put a Walmart in a suburban upper middle class area but that doesn't mean upper middle class people will shop there.

Vernon Hills is only 1 hour away when there's no traffic on the road, you can double that any other time of day and triple it for snow. Not to mention the cost of 400+ miles a week.

Act as indignant as you want, but saying that you want to work in an all white area is pretty damn racist.

Yes if I were to move there it would be for a management position.

That's true. And thanks for the time estimates.

My boyfriend and I went to a (not so) Super Wal-Mart one time somewhere in Northwest Indiana and saw rats scurrying across the tortillas.
