Yeah. I don't disagree with that. The future needs need to be addressed.

But the way old buddy came across was encouraging the steamrolling and/or flat out ignoring of current resident's opinions. If a planning department took the time to explain things properly, and in the right manner, to the people affected, 9 times out of 10 the people will agree with the proposal.

Of course the comment "uneducated opinion of the current locals" is not going to win favor from the people this guy wants to get approval from.

Tact is underutilized in these times. The statement "uneducated opinion of the current locals" lacks tact and comes across as pretentious and condescending.

Above all, believe it or not , I am among the people that would like Chicago to grow in density in many areas.

Why can't you be specific? Nobody is going to hunt you down.

Taking away the voice of the people (and their children) who will be affected, is not democracy, it is dictatorship. You propose completely ignoring the wishes and concerns of people in their own neighborhoods. Only people such as Stalin would approve.

Nice personal attack. Quit nitpicking.

Sometimes people use the word Democracy instead of Representative Democracy.

Instead of addressing my dictatorship comment, you deflected like all good commies do and nitpicked my wording.

Go smoke a Cuban cigar and have some vodka while you read your Marx.

blah blah blah. Half of us don't care about the south side because we have no business being there and it's culturally barren for the most part.
