Why I come on these forums is none of your business, but you're welcome to speculate all you like. And it wasn't your interpretation that was at issue. If you found it unfriendly, fine, I have no quarrel with that. But the poster you were claiming was 'right' is factually wrong.

What's the parking situation like in Bridgeport? I did a street view search of all the suitable rentals I liked, and most places seemed like it was cramped off street parking.

Cramped but not impossible, as long as you get home by the evening. Think Lincoln Square rather than Lincoln Park.

I guess you meant to say "on street" parking. I would say that parking in Bridgeport is pretty easy. You'll pretty much always get a spot on your block, though maybe not right in front of your house. Some rentals include off street parking, too.

Whoops! You're right, I meant to say on-street.
I don't mind walking a bit back to the apartment. My day would be very long, so I might not get back until 9 or 10 at night. By then, I'm sure a lot of the 9-5'ers have taken good spots.

Yeah, that might make it marginally tougher. But I can tell you that on the two blocks I've lived on in Bridgeport, you'd still almost always find a parking spot if you came home at 9pm.

Would you mind telling me which blocks those were? I'm looking at a few that are in between 31st and 38th N/S and Halstead/Princeton E/W. There was one at 31st and Princeton, but there was some advice in this thread to stay west of the tracks.
