thats the good thing about chicago. so many neighborhooods and beaches and parks to go to. i love the lakefront, lakeview especially during gay pride and holloween. during the winter n michigan ave can be fun or any of the subways or pedways.

That is a good idea. It made me think of City Hall as an ok place too. One would get a good representation of Chicago residents for sure, as all people from all backrounds have to pay parking tickets and other city fees.

Only lately?

It's been that way for 40 years.

I hate to badmouth the area, but it's like calling a spade a spade. I would like nothing more than that part of Uptown revitalized and stabilized.

I always thought the grocery stores, malls, Chinatown, zoos and parks were good places to people watch. People are people. I don't think tourist vs local resident makes a lot of difference. if it does, then go into the neighborhoods and shop, have lunch or a beer. The 'hoods are amazing during business hours..
