Almost any of the good things you can ever want out of a city is within a mile radius of the intersection of Belmont and Sheridan.

Yep, great area. Shopping, restaurants, bars. People like to mention the gay neighborhood thing, but all kinds of people live there. I live nearby and there are all kinds in my building. Elderly people, young couples, single professionals. It's a safe and fun area.

And as someone already mentioned, there are a ton of options for getting downtown. I would recommend taking the 145, 146, or 135 bus to work. They will probably be faster than walking to and riding the el downtown. But you can also take the 151, 22, 36 depending on where you are leaving from and where you are trying to go.

I think you'll enjoy living around here. It seems to have everything you're looking for. Good luck with your move!

But the area "Boys town" itself extends to the lake from there. Which means Belmont and Sheridan is in it.

It shouldn't matter though.

Supposedly there are straight couples and families starting to overtake it.
Run for the hills there could be gay people nearby. What kind of comment is this?
