At the very least, her choice of words shows her to be inarticulate, especially in that forum. When you have to fall back on cheap pejoratives in a debate, then it doesn't speak well to your class or to your ability to think on your feet.

Unless, of course, the debate in question is a battle rap or a "Yo Momma" contest.

Kinda makes you wonder who voted for her when she won her race (and when she lost re-election as well) to become a U.S. Senator doesn't it?

Now that's delusion. Rahm will likely win because his competition and detractors are the inept ones, not the voters.
The voters are always ultimately where the buck stops. Look at Egypt - what would it actually take to get Chicagoans that incensed about the corruption here?

If someone would have told me 15 years ago what would happen with the parking meters, I would have said that would have been enough. But alas, the make-up of the city has changed a bit and most of the people that have moved in could care less. Either they don't vote in Chicago because they keep their registration elsewhere like mom and dad's house or they are illegal and can't legally register to vote to begin with. Of course, many longtime Chicagoans don't vote either and it sickens me.

These days, I'm not sure there is anything in local politics that could get local voters that incensed. Which is good, as the sort of thing going down in Egypt doesn't do ANY group any favors (except maybe the streetcleaners union).

If the parking meter clusterf**k didn't incite the voters to riot, nothing will.

The voters come in all sizes and shapes. Their concerns and interests are all over the map. Corruption is just one of the issues.
