That pic is more like it. The video was too distant to see what was going on.

Wind is howling straight down Sheridan in Buena Park. I though it was pretty clear and just went for a 10 minute walk. Sidewalks and cross streets are up to my knees in points. Didn't see a single person or car the entire trek, just two cops driving around with their flashers and spotlights on scanning the sidewalks. They both asked me if I was ok and made sure I was "mentally fit" to go on my way. So quiet out!

I do have to say, the past 3 hours the only things I've seen are 151 buses and plows going by every 15 minutes. I think the city is on a mission to run smoothly during this storm. I have to say though - I though the city would keep running through this, but they're really blowing me away with this determination. Police, fire and plows are out in full force.

Just saw some moron try to make it down Paulina in a Mustang (at my girlfriends place)... that was pretty comical. Got tired of watching so I went back inside.

Yeah that typical of Maywood.

I just got home an hour ago from work. Its bad out there and I mean really bad. It look like that one snowy scene on the movie 2012. I barely made it because of low gas(every gas station was closed) and could barely see the signs. I work near 294 on 75th st. I had to take the streets because I couldn't see the road for the E-way exit. Anyway I had to take streets all way down to 151st in Harvey. On my journey, I seen plenty of cars get stuck and even a few people walking. Fortunate for me, my truck has 4 wheel drive and I had my life saving phone to navigate me for the first couple of miles(I'm not that familiar with the area). Man what a long and scary trip; this really put my driving skills to the test.

I just walked/waded through a 3-4 foot snow drift. I forgot my camera though. I'll try to take more video in the morning or in a few hours.
