Hmmmm now even I am terrible at math but let's say they all get turkey sandwich's and a soft drink. $10 x 3 = $30.00 . $3.00 for a coke x 3 = $9.00 which equals $39.00 with tax that would be $43.00. Sounds about the same price if you go to any other lunch spot in the city and you get a great view. Hardly a $100.00 lunch. Just sayin'.

I don't think anyone is satisfied from a turkey sandwich and a Coke. Maybe a 5 year old would be, but an adult I don't think so. Btw: you forgot the tip.

Why even go to the Signature Room if you are going to get turkey sandwiches and Cokes? That makes no sense to me. It is like going to an Italian Beef joint and ordering cheeseburgers. Makes no sense.

You might as well go to McDonald's.

If it's bad behavior that is the question, have no fear. My son is Mr. Manners. Yes I am biased but even strangers comment on how polite and well-mannered he is.

Good to hear that. I know people do bring kids to the Signature Room. I was just stating my opinion on the two restaurants and what has bugged me in the past at various places.

The view man the VIEW OF THE CITY!!! You are missing the point of this whole thread. The OP is coming into Chicago to go shopping and get in as much Chicago as possible in a day. You cannot beat the view of the Signature Room. And their kid will love it. Get over the price of lunch, that isn't the point...Yeah they probably could go to McDonalds for 1/4 of the price and stare at a parking lot and they could do that where they live...but if they are coming to Chicago for ONE day I assume they will throw down a bit more money for a great view of the city

I don't see how someone is going to get in as much as possible in a day if they don't like being outside. The OP only mentioned a desire to eat and shop. The OP mentioned nothing about seeing the city.

That is not true. They are open on Saturdays from 10am to 3pm.

If you only had one day in Chicago what would you do?

Make sure it would not be in winter. (that lake-effect thing is wicked)

maybe give them a good suggestion for lunch instead of worrying about their kid being loud in Signature Room...OBVIOUSLY you don't want them to have lunch and see a great view of the city. Anyways to the OP, if you are shopping on Michigan Ave. you could always go to Joe's for lunch? It's pricey but right by Michigan Ave. on Grand.
