I'd say you would be comfortable getting off at either stop. I'd be more careful getting off at Argyle, since a few of the housing complexes that assist mentally ill people still exist on Sheridan(though they slowly are starting to close). The area east of the 'L and south of Foster is slowly improving, but I'd still use some caution in the area south of Foster, west of Sheridan, and east of the 'L. Generally for the most part, I think you'll be fine, and as long as you use slight caution walking from that 'L stop(and moreso east of there) late at night.

Personally, I'd say I always have felt more comfortable(safety-wise) with the stops from Berwyn to north of there. At least Berwyn has multiple shops around it(from Jewel, a furniture store, Blockbuster, Pier 1, and various other shops), and there always are buses departing from that stop 24/7(including the 151 in the overnight hours). I live near the Bryn Mawr 'L stop, and generally I've always felt pretty safe regardless if I walked east or west of there. Now if the long-talked about Nookies would finally open, across from Starbucks!

Thank you all. The walk through the Asian shops at Argyle isnt exactly eye appealing but it didn't seem problematic either. I think I will be putting in an offer on the place on Argyle, east of the red line.
