I say this with fear or being called a yuppie or a typical Wrigleyville frat guy (ha) but I'll just try about any street fest over the summer.

However, as was said a few posts up, Retro on Roscoe is the favorite.

Well, Midsommarfest was pretty cool. Very, very gay - but cool nonetheless. Some drag band performed; I think it was the first time I had ever experienced that. Goose Island beers were only $6, and lots of great food vendors on the street as well. Next stop is Wicker Park fest July 23rd and 24th!

First time there yesterday and I was expecting at least a few Swedish things. Got some Glogg from Simon's but that was about it.

It's a shame that the Swedish heritage in the neighborhood has become a shell of its former self. Aside from the Maypole at Foster and Clark and the people who were in the Swedish-American Museum, there wasn't too much really.

Just a little self city promo here, we all know waste is going on right now and so is Summerfest. Summerfest has a very good line up this year compared to years past.

Summerfest - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

So even if the cubs aren't playing well and you don't want to come to Wrigley North come spend some of your dollars at summerfest.

i just realized Summerfest is $15 a person. In the scheme of all things, it's a pretty low price to pay in order to see some of those great bands, but makes me grumble nonetheless.
