Not only that but Spaniards themselves are classified by the Federal government as "hispanic" rather than as white. The Spanish have been offically "de-whited".
This makes me wonder if the strong Anglo-Saxon prejudice against Spain is somehow at work here, the Black Legend and all that.

Chicago doesn't have a racial/ethnic majority. It might appears that way depending on what side of the city you're on. Chicago is a very polarized city.

I read in several places that the Federal government classifies Spaniards as Hispanic. Perhaps I was misinformed.
