Yes, you understand me now, I think Wicker Park is Lincoln Park, that was my point all along.

Go back to third grade and learn the basic Cartesian coordinate system.

See post #29. You reasoning makes you sound like some douche that moved here from Iowa last year.

Aaaah, here come the personal insults. You're the type that will never admit when you're wrong. If you accidentally called a circle a square, you'd insist with your dying breath it was a square.

You are the one that came out with an insult. Why don't you do as Eric Clapton said?

Dude, I gave evidence as well. West Town?

You want more? It still will not change your opinion, so I think I will not even bother adding more.

So at what address does the North side become the NW side?

This is open to interpretation but in my opinion...

The North side is lake on the east, river on the west and south.

The NW side is river on east, divison on South and city limits North and West.

The west side is Halsted on east, North Ave on North, Roosevelt on south and city limits on west.

It is open to interpretation, which was my point, there's some gray area, unless you're an uncompromising hard head who claims to be an authority on everything.

Conceptions of the city change. In 1893 north and western would have been considered towards the far northwest side...times change. Is the intersection of North and Western northwest on the coordinates...of course, after all the street names are NORTH and WESTERN. BUT if you said to most people today---I live on the northwest side, and then told them you live near Clemente High School, they may look at you like your crazy. In todays world, for most people, the northwest side conjures up images of the bungalow belt and beyond in areas like Belmont Cragin, Portage Park, Jefferson Park, Norwood Park and Dunning. I think the best description would be "near northwest" if you wanted to get technical. But I think most people that live in Bucktown/Wicker Park area would simply say I LIVE ON THE NORTHSIDE. End Discussion.
