I like redfin.com. Most listings on redfin have property tax and assessment data.

Thanks to both of you. I wasn't sure if different property types had different rates (high-rise vs single family, for example), or if I could simply ballpark it from assessed value like you can in Nebraska.

There aren't too many single family dwellings in the area you're interested in; almost entirely condos and townhouses .. Redfin and Blockshopper would have some information, and the taxes won't be a mystery once you start negotiations: Property taxes are paid 'in arrears' in Cook County, so typically the seller makes an evaluated concession to the buyer to cover the last year or half year interval for the tax amount .. Oh, and if you have deeded parking, that will have a separate Property ID and tax amount ..
