I have been going there for like 25 years. I have mentioned it several times on this forum. I guess you had to see for yourself.

It is a shame that people from the northside of the city think they live in the best part -- come down to the SOUTHSIDE we have it ALL!! For starts you have FOX'S Pizzeria/Beverly, DURBIN'S in Burbank and then you have BEGGAR'S Pizza in Oak Lawn. They all have other locations -- but try these first and let me know what you think...You will be glad you went past Madison Avenue!!!

FOX'S Pizzeria - good thin crust.
Durbin's - I avoid this like the plague when it comes to pizza. Very popular when I went to grade school in Burbank and during high school we would order Durbin's after soup kitchen -- I thought it tasted amazing since I didn't have breakfast on those days. Since then, I tasted a lot of pizza and different styles, and Durbin's just falls of the radar completely.
Also, try Grassano's Pizza in Oak Lawn. The service and food quality is not as consistent as I would like, but on good days their pizza puffs and deep dish are amazing.

this is an old post... from last year.... but i have had pizza from 3 different Rosati's in the 'burbs. By far the best was in St Charles.[not sure of the location, but it was near 38 & Randall. my FIL used to pick it up, it was pick up only location. The one in Bloomingdale is pretty good too, but St Chas was better.
Our fave thin crust place is White Cottage in Wood Dale. DH has been going there for over 35 yrs.
Aurileos [sp wrong] is great too. we go to the one in Addison.
we are not deep dish folks... so i can't comment there... but 'back in the day' mid-80's... my sister and I used to go to this pizza place, that had something about All Natural in their name... for hte life of me i can't remember the name. There was one on 83 near Elmhurst, and 83 way up north ... north of Oakton in EGV i think.
i'm sure the name will come to me... but i'm not even sure they are in business anymore. BUT - they had great deep dish, they used to do 'individual sized' and they also delivered to businesses out of a catering truck. when i worked in EGV, they would deliver once per week.
Ahhhhhhhh -- it's Edwardo's. i saw it mentioned in adm1985's post on page 5.
they have great pizza, from what i recall.

I like this place called At's a Nice pizza, they got real good crust.
I also enjoy Rosati's sometimes, but it is average. Actually, my favorite right now is between Home Run Inn pizza, and this place called Vito Bella's in Plainfield.

WOW. I can't believe the nominations for Rosati's. Their crust tastes like cardboard. My brother managed the one in Roselle for a few years. The one in Roselle was better than others, but still. Cardboard crust.
I used to work in Bensenville and White Cottage was the closest. It's decent at best. Their delivery was awful. Crust is okay, but they load their pizza with too much cheese making it soggy. Their sauce is good though.

My "city girls" have made me a Pete's stuffed pizza convert.
When I was growing up in Beverly, Vito & Nick on Chicago's southwest side (Pulaski and about 87th) was always a favorite, as were Beverly Pizza House (111th) and Rosangelo's (95th Street, in Evergreen). We also drove out to Homewood, to sit on a ledge in the storefront window for an hour to wait for a seat at the original Aurelio's. I love their thin crust pizza!
