Does her eye color play a role? What about height? Weight?

in a city that's 2/3 latino and black, blond hair sticks out just because it's somewhat uncommon (outside of LP, anyhoo).

in general, being a woman means you are likely to receive unwanted cat-calls and male attention. not by the vast majority of men, but it doesn't take more than one - so it doesn't seem that unreasonable to suggest that having blond hair might lead to more harassment.

I don't think you'll be walking to the logan or damen stop from milwaukee and drake. I think you'll be walking to the belmont stop. Unless you really like walking.

There's a great chinese restaurant very nearby, Friendship Chinese, on Milwaukee just north of Diversey, east side of street.

I was just posting it as a tip in case you move there. If I were there, I'd walk to belmont without question.

For the area, we live just south of there, have a friend who lives in that specific vicinity, and never considered it too bad, but so much changes within a few blocks I don't want to misconstrue it

We're both off... it is *north* of Diversey, but *west" side of street. 2830 North Milwaukee Avenue.
