Going to visit Chicago in a month and going to a Cubs game.
Where is a good place to have a beer after the game and raise glasses with some other baseball fans? Walking distance, preferably.
The game we're going to is a day game, if that matters, assuming it's over about 3:30 or 4:00. Y'all drink that early, right?

I can only assume you've never been to WF before... you can't NOT find a "place to have a beer" after the game. The area is virtually ALL bars and they're ALL crowded on game days from 8am on.

Leave Wrigley Field, walk a few steps in any direction, enter bar, order drink.

Have fun!

The other posters are right on. But just to give you some bar names, Cubbie Bear, Sluggers, Harry Carary's, Sports Corner...and the list goes on, and on, and on.

Have someone blindfold you. Walk out of wrigley field until you hit a wall. Take your blindfold off and you will be at a bar.

Haha, that part made me laugh. Welcome to the Midwest - yes, everyone will be extremely drunk by 3:30pm.

Hell, I'm normally trashed by 3pm on any given sunday.

This is way out of proportion.

thanks to all for the answers and confirming what I was hoping! I'll be there on Memorial Day to see the Astros play the Cubs. Look forward to maybe drinking with a few of you after the game!

Just walk out of Wrigley and walk down Clark if you want the most options. They're stacked up one after another on both sides of the streets for blocks. Choose one that looks decent.

I went on Yelp and typed in "bars" within a 4 block walk of Wrigley and it came back with 62 options. Expand that out to two miles and it's hundreds.
