Default which suburb has great schools under 400K?

I'm looking for remodeled homes, 3BR,2BA between Berwyn, IL and Northbrook, IL.

Have a lot of family in Berwyn but work in Northbrook, IL.

Which area would you recommend for under 400K that has the following:

1. GreatSchools rating of 9 or 10
2 The home must be remodeled, not a fixer upper under 400K range.

Thanks.

Edit: will consider Chicago City neighborhoods as well

Great schools is useless -- any randomn jamoke can rate whatever they want...

If you want / need an updated / remolded home north of Berwyn and east of Northbrook you are going to need to shortsales and forefpclosures.

Best bet might be Mt. Prospect, but be careful to avoid the less desirable areas with too many apartments and jet noise..

Agreed. Mount Prospect, and also Arlington Heights.

Close to Northbrook. Good schools. Good housing. Affordable.
