I will be visiting Chicago soon and was wondering if anyone could tell me where to find the best deep dish?

You'll get some many and varied answers, but my favorite was always Gino's East. I dream about that sausage patty!

The big two are Generally Lou's, as mentioned above or Giordano's. I'm a Giordano's guy through and through, though Lou's is good.

Ginos East is a very popular destination due to its location and its gimmick of letting people write on the walls (kids love it) but the pizza just isn't as good.

If you want something different, do Bacino's. Killer deep dish that is up there with any others.

Thank you for the suggestion everyone! I looked up the Lou Malnati's website and was totally convinced this is where I should go when I visit... until I viewed the Giordano's site! Now I can't make up my mind! lol

I've been eating "downtown" Uno's style deep dish pizza since the mid 1960s and I think Malnati's is making the best now. Malnati's does an excellent "old neighborhood" Chicago Thin as well.

And Ricobene's on 26th St. does a pretty good Uno's clone too.

These are opinions, obviously.

Lou Malnati's. I like the butter crust. And their thin crust is also excellent. I have also enjoyed Giordano's and even Edwardo's.

I'll defend Giorodano's until I die, but I know that Lou's seems to be more popular.

Just go to both!
