The bathroom looks slimy? Where do you live? Buckingham Palace?

A LOT of places don't have dishwasher or A/C. I am surprised there is no radiated heat, though.

I've come to find not many in Chicago do, unless they are gut rehabs or condos that are renting. My apartment right now has one, but my wife and I haven't used it once, most likely due to habit.

I had three apartments in the suburbs, and two did not have a dishwasher either. I think most landlords/management companies don't see it as a good ROI. So unless you lvie in a brand spankin' new complex, no dice.

You can find some pretty inhabitable apartments in Logan Square for around $700-$800. I'm in one with a roommate and the total cost is a few bucks over $700. You really can't beat that.

A dishwasher is about No. 47 on any list of mine, in terms of priorities..

I'd be a bit more concerned about heating expenses..

I just think that place needs to be thoroughly cleaned. It's loads better than my old apartment in Albany Park, which was literally a roach box.

I would not put a deposit down on that place until they cleaned the bathroom up.
