I'm coming for you Chicago!
I'm doing alot of traveling within the next several months and I plan on visiting Chicago probably around Feb/March. I've been there 3 times before but I haven't done much to actually get out and get the most out the city, because of the fact they were short notice trips to visit outside the area. I've only been to a couple of museums and the Navy Pier in which I loved it all. I'm 23 years old, I like drinking, being around and meeting alot of people. I also can't wait to try out some of the wonderful Chicago restaraunts! I love dining out. I'm pretty much down for anything, so do you have any suggestions??

Go to the :
-Subterranean
-Metro
-Beat Kitchen
-The Note
-Empty Bottle
If you want to catch a rock show.
A simple google search or mpshows.com will provide you with any listings you want (i'd go to the specific sites).
Bring a thick coat...

Check out metromix.com. You can find restaurants, bars, festivals, etc... for particular dates or areas within Chicago. This will be a good start.

March Madness and St. Patty's Day is two of the best celebrations in Chicago - I would suggest hitting the city around both. Considering you're a 23 year old who enjoys boozing - both events will not disappoint you! Some bars that are a good time and in a fun neighborhoods: McGee's (a little too crowded for my taste), Durkin's (went here for March Madness last year and had a great time), Duffy's (huge bar, can't go wrong), or Redmond's (service is so-so but fun crowd).

Man sorry to say this, but what a horrible time to visit Chicago! YUCK! The weather here is totally awful in Feb. and March. Standing out on Navy Pier in Feb. or early March with bitting winds blowing in off the lake and having brown slush all over the sidewalks is less than appealing to me. You seriously should consider pushing your trip back by about 6-8 weeks so you are here more in the spring, than in the late winter. More will be open and you won\\\'t be running from place to place to avoid the icy winds and rain. Chicago is absolutley beautiful in the spring with all of it\\\'s flowering trees and tulips that line Michigan Avenue and is really something to see. It will really make your Chicago experience more pleasurable.
