Why did you omit Club Foot? I'd pick it over J&M and Happy Village for the OP. What about Empty Bottle as well?

Speaking of bands, has anyone seen The Lawrence Arms? They played in a festival last fall and I've heard they occasionally play local shows. I'd love to see em eventually.

I disagree. I think the OP got some great advice in this thread. Granted, I wouldn't look to C-D to be the sole point of research for this line of questioning, but to discount it as a resource is just silly.

Of course, it is much easier to stand on the sidelines and cast aspersions than it is to actually lend something useful to the conversation, but hey, thanks for chiming in!
