Angry Got nailed with two street cleaning tickets

So I get home from work today and there is a ticket on my windshield for street cleaning. Crap, ok, my bad, I forgot it was the fourth Tuesday of the month. I walked over to take it off the windshield and noticed another cheery orange envelope on the ground right next to my car. I picket it up and it was another ticket for the same thing for my car, written at 9:31am. The one still under my wiper was written at 1:07pm.

So apparently the storm blew the first ticket off and the Revenue agent didn't bother to look to see if the one on the ground was for my car. He/she/it had to be practically standing on it to place the second one on my windshield. The thing that will probably bite me in the @ss is they entered two different addresses. So if I contest one they are going to say I moved my car but just down the block. One address entered as 2654 west and the other is 2664 west. Great.

Should I contest one or just suck it up and pay both. I fully intend to pay the first, I was in the wrong. But, what is stopping them from circling the block and re-ticketing everyone every hour from 9am-3pm?

As soon as I can get out of my condo I am leaving this godforsaken place.

Contest it in person. Pay the 1st ticket and make a copy of it. Don't bother contesting by mail, you'll lose.

if you can take time off of work and the hassle try contesting it. its not worth it to me so i usually just pay the ticket and chalk it up to the price of being in the city.
