I've always liked living in Chicago. Liked it as much in the 80's as I do today. Honestly, I've never met anyone who lived here who openly shared that they disliked the place. But there must be plenty somewhere out there.

I'd rate higher if it wasn't for the brutal cold months! But I'm very satisfied, great art & culture, great food (at any prices), I've made great friends, if only that global warming could be sped up!

Been here 10 years. I put down 70%, although really I'm anywhere from 70% to 80%. Only issues are cleaning up the ghettos and stomping out crime, getting the schools up to par, figuring out the budget mess and improving public transit.

I'm around 50% satisfied myself. Sometimes Chicago is ok but other times I simply don't like the place for various reasons. I gues there are worse places to be.

The number of antisocial jerks who live in this town knocks it down a couple pegs for me, and the fact that every interaction with city government reminds you that the city is in charge of its citizens and not the other way around knocks it down a couple more. I like what the city has to offer but I periodically ask myself if the tradeoff is worth it.
