The American Mustache Institute has raked Chicago as the #1 Moustache Friendly City - awesome.

Quote:
With a vast pool of professional opportunities in first-responder fields such as police and fire department, as well as EMTs with the large healthcare community of Chicago; access to one of America’s largest lakes, two baseball teams, a heritage of retired Chicago Bears players who have continued to embrace a Mustached American lifestyle, and conspicuously high hot-dog consumption — Chicago was the only U.S. city to achieve a perfect score on the AMI City Index......

....Interviews demonstrate that Chicagoans associate mustache culture with pride, power, good looks, and a deep heritage of working-class prestige.

“Chicago mustache culture is something men aspire to enter,” said Heywood. “In fact, a recent survey of middle school-aged males in the Windy City shows that a majority hope to “wear a mustache in the next one to five years.”

That site is a jewel!

Mustaches should be worn at the individual’s own risk, and AMI is not responsible for mustaches that make men look like child molesters or Dave Navarro.

Love this site!

Maybe I'll even go to Stach Bash 2011 at Joe's Bar on Weed St.
http://www.americanmustacheinstitute.org/stache-bash/

Though must admit I'm not into the stache thing. Can only think of one guy that pulled it off for me... Tom Selleck.

Is the mustache spoon coming back in style?

I saw a young guy with a fancy mustache twisted at the ends and he looked like a total jackass.

I saw an old guy with a fancy mustache twisted at the ends and he looked like a total badass. I wish he was my Grandpa.

They got that covered:

An after-effect of World War II’s popularity was clean-cut U.S. soldiers returning to create a new America. They were free of not just the “toothbrush” or “dictator” style mustache worn by German figure skating champion Adolph Hitler, but seemingly, and very sadly, America became devoid of flavor-saving upper lip garnishes altogether.

As this somewhat sad, mustache-free culture moved into the early 1960s, peace-loving beatniks high on acid and Colt 45 revolted against varying policies and acts of military aggression from the U.S. government. Hippies began randomly copulating in public spaces, and round-house kicks to the necks of midgets, large animal masturbation, and facial hair growth in the form of lower nose gardens were used as tools to rebel.
