Default Halloween in Chicago

Some friends and I will be in Chicago for Halloween weekend. I think we will mostly be in the Wrigleyville and Gold Coast areas. Do most Chicagoans dress up for Halloween?

I don't know about "most" but enough do that you wouldn't be out of place yourself if you did.

Yes, especially on the north side there will be a LOT of adults dressed up and going to bars.

That's near Boystown too, and for gays Halloween is the most sacred of holidays.

A lot of bars do Halloween events. If you are worried about feeling out of place, you can find out what bar is doing a Halloween event and go there.

There will probably be more people dressed up on Saturday from what I can tell (most of the big hotel parties are on Sat), but there will be both either night, especially in the north side neighborhoods.
