Default How to get around looking for truck

Hi There, I am flying into chicago and buying a truck to bring back. What is the best way to get around to shop for a truck, or best places to look for great deals. Looking for a 2010 dakota 4 door or a 2010 toyota 4 door, if anyone can help that would be great, I plan on flying in on nov. 1st or 2nd. Thanks

Looks like pickups are a lot easuer to find in the far off burbs: Dodge Dakota For Sale | Used Dodge Dakota For Sale in Chicago at DriveChicago.com.

Toyota Tacoma For Sale | Used Toyota Tacoma For Sale in Chicago at DriveChicago.com.

Where are you planning to "fly in" from? Each of those trucks is about 30-50 miles from various edges of Chicago -- that could mean several hundred miles of cab fare...

So wait -- you're flying into Chicago not to inspect or pick up a truck you've already agreed in principle to buy, but to shop for a truck?? Can you explain the logic behind this because I'm not getting it...

Rent a car while you are shopping and going around to different places. After you make your final decision and are ready to pick up your new truck, return the rental car and take public transportation as close as possible to the dealer and then take a taxi the rest of the way (if necessary).

Before I bought any vehical I would want to see the car fax Then I would want to know if the drive-away title was good anywhere in North America or just in the United States. I suspert the later and not the former is true. Many Illinois laws concerning transportation have changed since 9/11.

Otherwise you fly in, and rent a car because the cost of a taxi is outrageous and the suburbs are far more anto dependent than the City of Chicago. Cook County is approaching 1000 square miles.
