Check out the Clubhouse in Oak Brook attached to the Oak Brook mall. I've never seen a more characature cougar joint. Its pretty funny actually.

I think cougars care about how attractive and virile you look more than how much money you have. A cougar wants a hot young man who can show her a good time, not a sugar daddy. You're barking up the wrong tree.

Some guys actually love older women. They don't relate to younger women or women their own age. However, I've also wondered how many of these guys are looking for a nest and a momma because they do not like living alone. They look good and they work hard, but they just don't like the solitude that living alone offers.

If you are serious about a long term relationship I don't think you will find it in a bar. I think you will find here in a place where regular people congregate. Mall, grocery store, theater, beach, etc.. Chet is right about the COL, though.

Yeah a lot of younger women concern themselves with way too many stupid things that I will never be concerned about in my life.

I think the whole cougar thing is a myth. Most women, especially attractive ones, find men older than themselves attractive. I don't know what you consider a 'cougar' but the very attractive 35+ girls I know would have as much interest in hooking up with a 26 year old as they would being picked up for a date on a scooter. True they are in the 'red zone' of reproducing but that makes them far more inclined to go after the 40-plus, established man than goof around with younger guys.

I'm not saying you can't find an older women to date, just that the rumor that there are legions of desperate 'older' women pining after young college grads is a media phenomenon and little else. Mrs. Robinson redux. The same story will swing around again with a different spin in 10 years.

And, yes--1,000 times yes ad infinitum--they are going to care about cash. Thus the ancient warrior adage 'Disregard females, accrue currency.'
