Default MS Statistics which one is better: DePaul vs Loyola

Hi guys, I received the offer from DePaul and Loyola. I am going to study in the master program of Applied Statistics. I do not know which one is better. Could you guys give me some suggestion please? Thank you!

I think overall DePaul and Loyola are head to head when it comes to academics, with the exception of science where Loyola probably fares much better, and DePaul fares much better in business.

I don't think one would be drastically better than the other, but then again I don't know much about Stats programs. However, with name/brand recoginition alone, you will be fine at either one.

Both schools are probably pretty similar in terms of the "meat" of the course offerings. My suspicion is that you could get more "hands-on" work with medical researchers at Loyola if you are thinking about the Biostats specialization becuase of the Medical Center (though that require some time out of the Maywood campus).

I would certainly recommend a nice sit-down with the various faculty at both schools before I would com mitt to one over the other...

At the end of the day, I doubt your career prospects (or lack thereof) will change much based on which school you attend.

I agree with others that, if you are looking to work in Biostatistics/Pharma/Device/Clinical Trials, then Loyola. If you're leaning towards finance, equity research, etc. DePaul.

DePaul is fantastic (great arts programs, superb location, good MBA) and would recommend it with the highest enthusiasm.

I can't speak for Loyola, but I've heard good things.

You seem to have multiple posts on this site at the moment that are all speaking to the "wonders' of Depaul.

Hello, mods!

Seriously, how many times does this person (who is obviously some sort of recruiter for the school) need to spam this forum and drag up old threads from '11 before he actually gets banned? Seems like half the front page is cluttered with threads he dredged up to post his spam!
