Thinking to move to area around West Elm street and N Dearborn.
What do you think about the safety of these area at night?
Will there be many people getting off from station around 8, 9, or 10PM?

I would appreciate your comment

Thank you for your response.
Even for a woman to walk from Clark to Gold Coast area at night (after 9PM?)

Lots of women are out walking in this area. If it is particularly late take a cab if you feel uncomfortable. However, I don't think that will generally be the case. I feel very safe in this neighborhood.

It's completely safe. The el stop on Clark and Division is a little sketchy in terms of vagrants and stuff, but I think violent crime is nearly nonexistent.

There's always people around and it's an expensive neighborhood to live in. One of the safest areas of the city.

I would have no concerns walking around by myself in that area at that time oif night. As always, general city precautions should be taken -- don't put in your earbuds and shut off the world around you for instance, but you won't find many places safer. Even much later there will still be pedestrian traffic around.
