I would think Lincoln Aquare would be more affordable. Not sure though,as I have not looked at prices.

Both offer plenty of shopping and restaurants. "Hip and lively" is another matter. Both are within easy shot of more "hip and lively" neighborhoods, but if that's not sufficient, then I'd recommend Logan Square or Bucktown. If commuting by car, that will add roughly 20 minutes to your commute.
