It is quite all right.
The best and most famous figures in history are both fiercely attacked as well as hated by some. On the other hand those same figures are loved and respected by others.
I became "famous soon enough" a while back. Now I strive to be legendary.

So using your logic "East Humboldt Park" is not really close to the loop.

From home to office in Central loop is 30 minutes on a bad day and typically 25 (Western Express to Blue Line). I don't think most folks in Uptown are getting there any quicker. My buddy who lives in Uptown told me it's typically 40 minutes and that's with the Redline improvements. I'm not ripping uptown -- I like it, especially because its close to the lake. But for me working downtown and often commuting to the suburbs it simply isn't as convenient.

There are express buses that run on L.S.D. Ever heard of them?
For example the 136 Sheridan/LaSalle Express bus usually takes around 30 minutes or less to get from Irving Park and Marine Drive to Adams and Wacker.

Yes I have -- thanks But 30 minutes isn't door to door. I can take the blue line L (Division stop) and be to Monroe in 8 minutes. All I'm saying is that on an average day my commute is probably at least 15 minutes less in each direction -- door to door (including rickshaw, helipad, xpress boat) however you want to factor in the commute

Why are you changing your story now?

There are plenty of times where I can make it from the Sheridan stop on the Red Line to the Merchandise Mart in about 30 minutes DOOR to DOOR including switching to the Brown Line at Belmont.
Why you have some strange obsession that "East Humboldt Park" is some kind of utopia I have no idea.

Just one caveat: If you happen to live on the western edge of Uptown... (Say, around Broadway or Malden or Beacon and Lawrence), and happen to work nearish to Ogilvie Transportation Center downtown, you can pop over to the Ravenswood Metra stop (using the Lawrence Bus or a bike) and be downtown in 15 min. I used to get from Lincoln Square to an office in the Civic Opera Building in around 25, door to door.

In addition,if one lives really close to an express bus in Uptown one can easily make it to several places downtown in 30 minutes or less at many times of day.
LookoutKid can attest to this.

I'm not, I don't live at the division stop, so I'm factoring in the walk to the bus stop and time to catch the bus to the Western or Division stop and then the time to catch and the actual commute downtown (25-30 minutes total).
Just like Irving Park isn't uptown and there is a commute involved, either by foot or bus to catch the LSD xpress bus. Just attempting to fairly include the entire commute time for both.
Does that make sense?
Anyway, back on topic -- love Roscoe Village, just think its a bit overpriced -- I was joking about the chichis, taco bell.

If you are north of Irving Park by the lake you are in Uptown (Buena Park is part of Uptown.)
There are more than one express bus that go through Uptown to Downtown.
Examples:
135 Starts at Wilson and Clarendon. Makes stops down to Belmont then runs express to Wacker and Columbus.
136 Starts at Devon and Broadway. Makes stops until Bittersweet then runs express to Wacker and Columbus.
144 Starts at the Berwyn Red Line station. Makes stops until Irving Park then runs express to Delaware and Michigan.
145 Starts at Ravenswood and Lawrence. Makes stops down to Belmont then runs express to Delaware and Michigan.
146 Starts at the Berwyn Red Line station. Makes stops until Belmont then runs express to Delaware and Michigan.
148 Starts at Ravenswood and Lawrence. Makes stops until Irving Park then runs express to Delaware and Michigan.
