Has anyone lived here, or currently living here?

What are your thoughts?

Very convenient location in terms of shopping and restaurants.

What age demographic predominately lives in this building?

Are there a lot of children/teens living here?

The attached Showplace ICON has free parking- do the residents also get to park here for free?

One of my coworkers just moved out of there. He loved it when he moved in, he ended up hating actually living there - partly due to the location.

Not a lot of kids. Mostly young professionals.

Unless you count Target, or are driving, it's not really a convenient location due to the enormous set-back and lack of easy access toward the north. The extra walking time that adds to trips adds up fast.

Residents get to pay for parking if they wish - although I think it's not quite as expensive as typical luxury places in River North would be.

Thank you Emathias.

The appeal for me, was that from looking online it seemed that everything would be walking distance---to eat and or shop quickly-

I am considering moving into this building, but trying to gather info from people who actually have lived there or have personal experiences- as most of what I am finding online has been written by someone affiliated with this property.

Thank you.

I guess it depends on how you define "walking distance". Really not many options w/in close walking distance: Target, whole Foods, Panera, White Palace diner, Dominicks supermarket, DSW shoes, and whatever smaller stores make up the shopping center at Roosevelt and Canal. Going east past Target, there's a Jewel and a fitness center, but not much else. You'd have to go further north of that before you can hit up Lou Malnati's, Bar Louie, etc. That's quite a bit longer than what I'd considered to be within "walking distance". Not to say it's impossible, but once you walk past a couple of blocks, it ceases to be convenient (on cold, snowy days, you'd be better off taking a bus-or two-).
