Thanks I'll give them a try

I would do my best to find a place that only the locals know about. I know there are pizza joints in the city that are not "trendy", like Lou Malnati's or Pizzeria Uno.

Everyone goes there! Wouldn't it be nice if you found a place which is delicious, that no one knows about?

It's hard for me to think of a 60-75 year old business being trendy but if Uno/Due and Malnati's are still attracting a trendy crowd, more power to 'em.

I've been a Gino's East fan since visiting Chicago as a kid and going to the original location around Rush/State (it was 'downstairs' on the garden level). I spent many hours there carving my name into the wall.

Either of the three, should satisfy you. There are slight variations. I'd add Pizano's to the list of possibilities. Deep dish is probably more popular with tourists than with long-term residents who've enjoyed our thin crusts for generations. Whatever you choose, enjoy!

Also My Pie near Armitage and Damen. Basically Lou's without as much grease in the crust (same tomatoes, even). Crust still tastes really good in its own way.
