It's likely. But the situation would be different. Not as historic moment as the first election night.

We can talk about arrogance regarding the pols in D.C., but until the last election I never saw a proposed Speaker of the House state the House would vote along party lines and not give the President one thing. Why? IMHO it has nothing to do with politics and all to do with a black family in the White House. The House Speaker drew a line in the sand that has divided our country more than ever and nearly destroyed it. Unfortunately the members of each party who were once in the center are gone. We are left with a clueless lot to do the bidding of anyone except WE THE PEOPLE. The fact that Obama was even elected is historic. He isn't doing drugs, he isn't chasing women, he isn't a millionaire; he pays his taxes without whining, he isn't trying to get a $800,000 tax break, and he's raising a couple of nice girls which is a huge accomplishment in any family. I don't love or hate any pol, but sometimes we need to give POTUS a break. Starting out the first day of office with a resounding "NO" ringing loudly across America is not the way to do it. What is good for the goose is good for the gander.

Just imagine for a moment the feelings running through your head what it would be like the exact moment you found out you just became President of the United States.

That 2008 victory speech definitely showcased our city in an amazing way. So thankful and appreciative to be able to witness in person this major event in world history.

I agree Swandaddy! I like watching happy historical events. But I think there is some irony in the fact the same state that put three in the White House, put four in the Big House: Kerner, Walker, Ryan and Blagojevich that helped bankrupt the state.
