Default Keep calm and bear down

Keep calm and bear down.

What does that mean? Is it just a saying on a hoodie? Obviously it's for Da Bears. Just curious

I'd like to know too, haha. Obviously for the Bears though. Where did you see it?

It's been popular lately to create spins on or parodies of a British pre-war poster that said "Keep Calm and Carry On".

The crown in the design shows that it's a parody of that. Then the "bear down" on something means to try harder, and since the Bears are the local football team who have been doing ok but not great in the past few years, it matches up with them to associate the saying with them.

So, in short, it's just a semi-clever attempt to commercialize on the Bears' popularity without having to pay the Bears or the NFL a royalty while tying into a recent meme.

Makes perfect sense.

Thanks!

You're right, but the "Keep Calm" part and design is from this:

Currently, "Keep Calm It's Only The Olympics" stuff is floating around London.
