Their French Toast is just ok in my opinion. Their Swedish sampler/swedish pancakes with lingonberries are fantastically and magically delicious, though.

The french toast at Tempo Cafe on State & Chestnut is decent too. They always have pretty good breakfast food served 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

I had no idea French Toast was something people sought after? Who knew?

I really am not even sure I have EVER ordered French Toast at a restaurant. My moms French Toast is amazing though. But she doesn't sell it! haha.

Ha! Best place for French toast - depends on calorie-wise, or taste! You can get stuffed french toast that is yummy but the calories and fat will be like 3 jillion each. Stella's Diner in lakeview on the 3000 block of Broadway makes a pretty good one. I haven't had it, but it looks good on everyone else's plate.

Another good diner for good french toast is over on North Ave & Clark in that restaurant on the corner by Moody Church. Its usually packed in the morning.

Ann Sathers food IS GOOD NO MATTER WHAT YOU GET!

IHOP is excellent.

Emilys Pancake house, in Beach Park, on 38730 N Sheridan Road, just north of Waukegan, IL

of course, I make the best french toast in my own kitchen. Its not to dark, I always make it "light" and it tastes good with whipped butter and a sprinkling of powdered sugar, and fruit compote.
