Default Different monthly condo assessments being paid in same condo building

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone had some information for me regarding monthly assessments for condos. My cousin lives in a 6 condo building on the northwest side of the city. All of the condos in the building are the exact same square footage. there are 2 condos on each floor. My cousin pays $195 a month, the people next door pay $185. the people above her pay $195, the person next to him pays $200! and the 2 people on the very top pay $195! Does anyone have any ideas as to why there's such a disparity in the assessments if the condos are the same size, everyone gets one parking space. Just curious.

Thanks

It generally has to do with percentage of ownership, but in this case I have no idea if all the condos are the same size. Maybe they are factoring in how many people are living in each unit. The more people, the higher the assessments. Do certain units have more windows or nicer views??? Maybe if some have more windows than others the association is factoring in cost of replacement windows. Are there balconies? That can factor in to all this too.

usually the assessments get more expensive as you go up. in this case, it seems like the floor is also at $195. must be something to do with outdoor spaces then or the # or quality of exposures? in either case, 4 out of 6 people pay $195 and the other 2 are within 5% of that, so not sure if this is such a big disparity..
