Exactly... Anybody who is anybody right now, would not risk running against Daley and making his political career in the city a short one?
You have to be certain to win and there is nobody with that political power in the city. This is what you get for not implementing term limits, it's hard to beat the incumbent...

BTW. Running against Daley is a suicide mission. You think the Taliban be interested?

On the other hand, he isn't very healthy and his sons don't stand a chance. Thank god.

It's hard to really comment on this until we see some challengers. If it's a choice between Daley and William Beavers, for instance, I'll pick Daley.

In the last election there were really no viable challengers to Daley, and I wouldn't be surprised if we see that again.
