Very nice....the only change I would make would be to change 'chicks' to 'broads'

And stretch it out like 'brroooaaaadd'

Default Adding S's

"pop" is common for soda, (and pretty common in midwest)--I've had a few funny stares ordering it when I've been on vacation.

Adding an "s" onto everything seems to be more a south side thing--like "I'm going to Jewels" or "Soldiers field"
Haha, I actually lol'd. That's a big southside thing. Even in the South Suburbs.

Calling an empty lot a prarie. And referring to Black people as "shines". And calling anyone from south of I-80 a hillbilly.

Prairie. . . . empty lot
gangway. . . . between houses
Youse guys. . . . you (plural)

My college roomates beat the Chicago isms out of me. . . . but ahh, it was a "colorful" time. . . .

I think alot of the mentioned words: "you guys," (I don't ever remember it yous guys) "expressway," "gym shoes" are localisms. I say this because I grew up with this terminology and once I moved away from the midwest, I didn't hear those words until I returned to Chicago. Out West, they almost always say "freeway." Once I was going walking with some co-workers during lunch and I said "Wait, let me get my gymshoes." OMFG...what a racket that caused. They were rolling at the "gymshoes" thing and saying stuff like "Ok Potsie. Wait up for me and Chachi so we can meet you at the sockhop." LOL....

And jagoff? Yeah....that's totally Chicago. I've never heard that term anywhere else. In fact, that word is like a integral part of my cousin's vocabulary.

BTW...my cousin called me yesterday and as we were talking, he said to his wife, "Okay...I'm goin' to THE Jewel" LOL....I wonder why, as a previous poster said, is it THE Jewel and not THE Dominicks?

Oh I love you guys!
